Diagnostic Assessments - Dyslexia

A diagnostic assessment is an in-depth assessment used to diagnose dyslexia from age 7 onwards.

They cover many areas to identify strengths and challenges.

A comprehensive report is completed afterwards, which details the person's unique learning profile, confirms a diagnosis (if found) and makes suggestions for support.

The reports meet SASC standards and can be used to:

Identify support needs in school, college and university.
Request exam access arrangements, such as extra time.
Apply for funding through DSA (Disabled Students' Allowance).
Apply for an Access to Work Grant or to request reasonable adjustments at work.

ADHD and Dyspraxia Assessments
Assessments for ADHD and dyspraxia can be completed from the age of 16. Diagnostic interviews are used alongside cognitive and literacy tests to identify characteristics of ADHD and / or dyspraxia.

A detailed report is produced afterwards, which can be used to access DSA funding and support at unviersity, including exam access arrangements, such as extra time. The reports can also be used to access workplace support.

Please note that these reports are used for learning and occupational purposes and explore ADHD and dyspraxia as specifc learning difficulties (SpLDs). They do not provide a medical diagnosis.
